Axosoft GitKraken is a cross-platform Git client with efficiency, elegance and reliability at the core. It was made for devs by devs.
“But what’s with the Kraken? Isn’t that a sea monster with a bad rap for wreaking havoc?”
“Jeez, apparently, you destroy a few ships and suddenly you’re a monster.”
The tale of GitKraken is actually opposite of the deadly sea monster—GitKraken was born out of a 30-day project intended to solve a problem! The Axosoft dev team set out to eliminate the cumbersome and time-consuming process of interacting with Git. Our aim was to create a solution for managing Git projects in a faster, more user-friendly way, and you guessed it, GitKraken was born.
Imagine a network of branches, nodes and subsequent code all aware of each other, yet working independently, much like the tentacles of an octopod—that’s what it’s like working in GitKraken.

Axosoft was established in 2002 when Hamid Shojaee started developing an agile project management software (also called Axosoft) that is used today by more than 11,000 teams across the world. Its elegant, streamlined and robust features make it a standout in the world of clunky and simplistic project management tools.
Axosoft CEO Lawdan Shojaee, has a strong vision that includes not only taking the company to new heights, but also improving the tech industry as a whole. With her support, we launched the #ItWasNeverADress campaign to ignite a conversation about women (or the lack thereof) in the tech industry. The campaign quickly went viral and was featured on numerous global publications like CNN. Since then, we’ve kept the conversation going by speaking out on how to solve this lack of diversity issue.
In our spare time, we develop and maintain NodeGit, speak at conferences and explore our own artistic endeavours.
We’re constantly growing and evolving. If you’re ready to help shape the future of Axosoft, check out our current positions—there may be a place for you!
