Git Integration for Jira Cloud Release Roundup Atlassian Data Residency & New Admin UI

Git Integration for Jira Cloud Release: Atlassian Data Residency & New User Interface

Git Integration for Jira Cloud has seen some major updates in the last quarter, including new data residency support for the EU and US regions and a BRAND NEW interface for Jira administrators: giving you more control over managing your integrations and repositories directly from Jira.

Let’s dive into the new features and improvements for Git Integration for Jira Cloud

Atlassian Data Residency Support

As teams and organizations move mission-critical business functions to the cloud, it becomes increasingly important for service providers to address various security and compliance requirements for highly-regulated customers. Staying ahead of compliance requirements determines whether or not they can deliver innovation quickly, efficiently, and effectively.

We have recently significantly invested in our Security and Trust measures including a SOC 2 audit/report  and a public bug bounty program with BugCrowd. We’re excited to share that we continue to invest in supporting our customers by offering European Union and USA specific hosting for our best-in-class Git Integration for Jira Cloud product.

You can find more information about Atlassian’s Data Residency Program, and can check to see which region your Jira Cloud instance is pinned to.

EU Region Hosting: AWS Frankfurt

In January,  Git Integration for Jira Cloud added support for hosting in the European Union location, specifically hosting in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Frankfurt region. All new customers who trial the Git Integration for Jira Cloud and have their Jira Cloud instances pinned to the EU region will be hosted in the EU region.

US Region Hosting: AWS Ohio

In addition to the EU region, Git Integration for Jira Cloud has a US-specific hosting region for Jira sites pinned to the US.  All new customers who trial the Git Integration for Jira Cloud as of March 2022 and have their Jira Cloud instances pinned to the US region will be hosted in the US region.

If you wish to migrate your Git Integration for Jira Cloud hosting to either the EU region or US region, have questions about Git Integration for Jira’s Data Residency support, please contact support.

All Git Integration for Jira Cloud customers who signed up prior to January 2022 are hosted in our Global hosting region, which we host in AWS Northern Virginia (USA).

The enhanced security and hosting features offered by Git Integration for Jira Cloud are just some of many reasons enterprises rely on this tool for improved Git operations.
